Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: Applicants from international countries that demonstrate low national achievements can apply.
- Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate degree programmes taught at HKU are eligible to apply for.
- Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- The students must bring outstanding academic results and demonstrated a commitment to achieving the HeForShe movement’s objectives.
How to Apply
- How to Apply: The applicants need to create and log in to their account on the university portal to apply. The scholarship does not require a separate application. The applicants must upload a 300-word essay stating their role as an ‘Impact Champion’ in their community in their online admission application.
- Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
- Degree certificate
- Transcripts
- Course-specific requirements
- Admission Requirements: The applicants are required to have completed 12 years of schooling including high school to be admitted to an undergraduate programme at HKU.
- Language Requirement: The students are required to provide the following tests with minimum scores required by the university:
- TOEFL IBT – 93
- IELTS – 6.5
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English / Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English – 180
- Duolingo is also accepted.
